About ISO Standards 11784 & 11785.
The International Standards Organization (ISO)was formed by the United Nations to develop worldwide compatible technological standards, which facilitate free trade between all countries and provide the basis for national and international legislation. To become an ISO standard, the technical norm must represent the best available future-oriented technology and must be approved by the various National Standards organizations in a democratic voting process.

The present ISO Standards for Animal Identification (11784/11785) were adopted in 1996 by the American Standards Institution (ANSI), and the Standards Organization in Canada, Germany, Russia, Japan, France, Brazil and others. All manufacturers and research institutes participating in the
process must sign a letter of compliance with ISO rules which allows the use of the technology for every one. In our case,
the technology that gets a pet home - regardless of the type of microchip that has been implanted.
